Individuals: rewrites their past to prove the legitimacy of “me now”
Example: person with worldview that people are bad telling the story of bitten by a stray dog in childhood. After some consultations and started to change. Started to recall and tell the story of being helped by people after being bitten.
Alderian teleology: past does not determine now. Now determines the past.
